Accessibility statement

The Podravka Group is committed to ensuring digital accessibility of its online content for all users, including people with disabilities. This statement covers the Coolie Food Report 2025 section (https://www.coolinarika.com/foodhacks/) within the www.coolinarika.com domain and applies in accordance with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882, EAA).

Standards and guidelines

The website has been tested against:

Compliance status

The Coolie Food Report section is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 level AA (status: partially compliant). The vast majority of criteria are met, and automated testing (axe-core 4.10) reports no violations on any page of the section. The remaining deviations relate to a limited number of criteria listed below (primarily video captions, behaviour at 200% zoom, and certain keyboard interactions), which we are actively working on.

The section is built on the visual design tool Readymag, which generates content through pixel-positioned DOM elements rather than semantic HTML, which limits achieving full compliance without rebuilding it in a semantic framework. We continuously work on improvements with the goal of reaching full WCAG 2.2 level AA compliance by the end of 2026.

Content that is not yet fully accessible

The section is largely accessible. A limited part of the content is not yet fully compliant; it is listed below, with an explanation and a plan to address it.

1. Remaining shortcomings (being addressed)

Automated testing (axe-core 4.10, WCAG 2.2 AA) across all Food Report pages reports no violations. The remaining shortcomings relate to criteria that require manual evaluation:

2. Disproportionate burden

At the time of publication of this Statement, no content is exempted on the grounds of disproportionate burden. Instead of a complete rebuild in a semantic framework, an augmentation layer has been applied (skip-to-content link, focus indicators, prefers-reduced-motion support, marking of decorative elements, accessible link names, JSON-LD structured data, and page title and description overrides) that achieves the large majority of accessibility goals, as described in the Technical notes below. The remaining shortcomings are being addressed through continuous improvements.

3. Content not within the scope of the legislation

Technical notes on applied mitigations
